Authorities issue statement addressing ‘left-lane campers’

GULFPORT, Miss. (WKRC) — Authorities have issued a statement addressing “left-lane campers.”

According to the statement, drivers are being urged to follow the state’s left-lane law, which requires that vehicles be driven in the right half of the roadway except when overtaking and passing another vehicle.

“That lane isn’t your personal highway. Use it to pass, not to ponder life, sip coffee, check fantasy-football scores, or figure out which couples are still together on Love Island, Season 8,” police wrote.
