WALNUT COVE — A property outside Walnut Cove in nearby Stokes County spurred heated discussion last Wednesday night as the potential for a data center was being discussed.
ELS, Engineered Land Solutions, shared its vision for the site in a presentation before opening the floor to comments from the community. Drew Nations, the CEO, started the presentation on Nov. 12 explaining the beginnings of the process and how the system would work.
The site must be rezoned before this process was to begin. The next scheduled meeting would be for a public hearing for the rezoning request on Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. at the administration building in the county complex…
