Native American Heritage Month celebrated in San Diego

RANCHO SAN DIEGO, Calif. — There were people here long before us — paving the way for agriculture, technology, medicine and art. That’s why we celebrate San Diego’s rich history during Native American Heritage Month.

The Kumeyaay people were San Diego’s first, dating back 12,000 years.
