WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Transportation officials presented two potential options for replacing the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, based on a toll scenario that would charge drivers $2 per trip over the bridge.
The North Carolina Turnpike Authority shared the options Wednesday with the Wilmington Metropolitan Planning Organization, which voted in May to explore tolling as a way to secure more funding for the $1.1 billion project.
