NORFOLK, Va. — A Norfolk man has pleaded guilty after his 3-year-old daughter shot herself with an unsecured firearm earlier this year.
Kirk Morris Bond Jr. pleaded guilty on Oct. 27. His sentencing is set for Feb. 6, 2026.
The incident happened on July 17, when Bond, 24, left his firearm within reach of the 3-year-old daughter. While Bond was in the bathroom, the girl grabbed the gun and shot it. The bullet went directly through her hand. The two were the only people home at the time…
