Man used fraudulent ID to open account in Palmer Township bank, police say

A man used a fraudulent New York driver’s license to try to open an account at a Palmer Township bank, police say.

William Otto Tolbert, 59, of Dunkirk, New York, allegedly tried to open the account at 5:19 p.m. Thursday at TD Bank on Park Avenue, according to a news release from Palmer Township police.

Tolbert was sent to county prison in lieu of $10,000 bail. He could not be reached for comment and it’s unclear whether he has retained an attorney…
