Grapevine-Colleyville ISD superintendent resigns to run local state education office

The superintendent of Grapevine-Colleyville ISD resigned on Thursday afternoon and will lead one of the state’s 20 Education Service Centers.

NBC 5’s education reporter Wayne Carter learned from multiple sources that Superintendent Brad Schnautz submitted his resignation to district officials late Thursday.

Schnautz has served as the superintendent of Grapevine-Colleyville ISD since March 2023, when he was hired to replace longtime superintendent Robin Ryan. His resignation comes as the district faces budget issues, which could lead to several school closures…
