JANS – Jackson Public Schools hosted a renaming ceremony this week for the Career Development Center, which will now be known as the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Career Development Center. The new name recognizes the impact and leadership of Medgar and Myrlie Evers and reflects the district’s continued commitment to educational excellence. The CDC is located at 2703 First Avenue, Jackson, MS.
The center is Mississippi’s largest and most comprehensive Career and Technical Education program, serving scholars from all six JPS high schools. With 23 career pathway programs, industry-standard labs, and instructors with deep real-world experience, the center equips students with the skills and certifications that meet workforce demands and open doors to future opportunities…
