Chaos at St. Louis’ Lambert Airport as officer-involved shooting kills one

One person is dead following an airport police officer-involved shooting early Friday morning at St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

St. Louis County police said the incident occurred around 1 a.m. inside Terminal 1 and involved Lambert Airport Police.No other injuries have been reported.

Inside the terminal, a crime scene was seen near the American Airlines ticketing counter. Lambert Airport officials said Terminal 1 remains operational while the investigation continues, though the Terminal 1 MetroLink station is closed.
