A new sports bar concept, “Northplace Bar and Grill,” is being proposed to replace a former restaurant/bar at the shopping center located at the corner of Iris and 28th in North Boulder. The idea is to create a dedicated sports bar, a concept that has been agreed upon by numerous locals who frequent the bars and restaurants in the area. The sports bar is set to feature eight high-definition televisions, a monitor showing real-time sports betting stats, a large bar and seating area, two high-quality pool tables, a main dining area, and an outdoor porch area. The menu will focus on “upgraded” bar food with vegan and veggie options. The bar will also offer a solid happy hour from 3-6PM, and possibly a late-night happy hour from 10-11PM. The plan is to make the bar family/kid-friendly with a traditional sports-bar atmosphere.
