Lowell man arrested in Washington after reportedly threatening several people with handgun

LANE COUNTY, Ore. — Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded early Nov. 15 to a report that a man had threatened several people with a handgun in the 400 block of Carol Street in Lowell before he fled the scene in a vehicle.

LCSO deputies deployed an armored rescue vehicle, a drone, and a K9 unit to search for the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Marcquis Andrew Lee White of Lowell. Authorities found White’s vehicle crashed nearby with a firearm inside, prompting an alert for residents to remain indoors.

Later in the morning while deputies were still searching in the area, a nearby duck hunter fired from a shotgun, unrelated to the call. Deputies did not deploy flash bangs during the incident…
