Dense fog early, Near record warmth

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – The big story aside from the fog early Thursday will be the near record highs the next few days. Some changes move in around the holiday.

Widespread dense fog Thursday morning will give way to a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. The record high for November 20 in Columbus is 83 degrees; we’ll likely fall a little short.

Not as much fog expected Thursday night and Friday morning. Highs in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees Friday afternoon. The record high for November 21 is 81 degrees; we’ll be close to tying the record. A chance of showers and maybe even a thunderstorm moves in as early as mid to late afternoon in our northwestern counties…
