ATHENS, Alabama — Prosecutors in Limestone County are moving forward with an effort to revoke the probation of a Killen man previously convicted of impersonating a police officer, following his arrest earlier this month on new felony charges in a neighboring county.
District Attorney Brian C.T. Jones filed a petition earlier this month seeking to reinstate a suspended prison sentence for 47-year-old Robert Shaun Bowman. The petition alleges that Bowman violated the conditions of his probation by failing to avoid “injurious or vicious habits” and for failing to abide by the law.
This week, a judge set a hearing for Dec. 4 to consider the matter.
New Allegations
The primary trigger for the state’s motion is Bowman’s arrest in Colbert County on Nov. 7. Bowman was taken into custody on a charge of making a terrorist threat. He was booked into the Colbert County Jail at that time…
