Increased State Police Patrols Bring More Traffic Stops and Arrests in Jefferson County

On November 19, 2025, Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown increased traffic enforcement in Jefferson County. Troopers concentrated on highways including I-264, I-265, and I-65. The operation led to 63 traffic stops, 27 speeding citations, seven seat belt citations, six move-over violations, and 14 courtesy notices. In total, officers issued 177 charges, including drug-related offenses, and arrested four people with outstanding warrants.

One person was arrested for possessing a handgun as a convicted felon and for receiving a stolen firearm reported in Louisville Metro.
