Suspect fled custody at Nashville General Hospital, police issue escape warrant

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — An escape warrant has been issued for 20-year-old Marcus Stanton, who managed to flee from police custody after being taken to General Hospital, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

Officers say Stanton was initially arrested following a chase involving a stolen white Lexus and an AR-15 pistol. Detectives reported that he was found hiding in his attic after a standoff with detectives.

Before booking, detectives say Stanton was taken to General Hospital for fentanyl consumption treatment. Officers say he was taken into custody at the hospital on Nov. 19. He escaped on foot before being placed in a patrol car while handcuffed, according to MNPD…
