A Leesburg woman was arrested after allegedly breaking into her boyfriend’s home through his bedroom window and battering him.
Deputies responded to an altercation in the front yard of an undisclosed Leesburg residence around 6 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. There they found 36-year-old Gwendolyn Sherrelle Goldwire arguing with her boyfriend of two years.
Goldwire advised that she came to the residence to speak her boyfriend and noticed his male friend was there. She confronted her boyfriend about this, which led to an argument. She did not approve of his friend being at the residence due to allegations of sexual relations between the two, the report said.
She then admitted pushing in a window to get inside the home, saying she had mail and belongings at the property to prove her residency. She claimed that after getting in, her boyfriend grabbed her by the hair, dragged her outside and physically battered her. She described being slammed into a table and dragged to her car, as well as being hit multiple times, the report said…
