Steve Harvey Can’t Keep it Together Over “Mother-in-Law” Answers on Family Feud

It seems even the stoic Steve Harvey has his limits! The beloved “Family Feud” host recently found himself in stitches during a round that tackled a truly delicate subject: mother-in-laws. Fans of the show know that some questions are designed to stir the pot, but this one left Harvey absolutely cracking up.

The question that sent the studio into a frenzy was, “Name a movie villain that reminds you of your mother-in-law.” After a quick buzz-in from Mave that didn’t lead to an answer, Josh from the opposing team chimed in with “The Joker,” which scored on the board. The Michael family decided to play!

Next up was Sarah, who, in a moment of slight confusion, answered “The Wizard of Oz.” A bewildered Harvey gently reminded her they were looking for a villain, to which she clarified, “There’s a wicked witch in there.” Unfortunately, “The Wicked Witch” wasn’t Sarah’s specific answer, and it wasn’t on the board.

Then came Nathan’s turn, and he clearly felt the pressure. “Now, Steve, I love my mother-in-law,” he began, trying to soften the blow.

But Harvey wasn’t having any of it. “Hey, listen to me.

I know you do. All I want to know is who she reminds you of.

That’s all,” he insisted. After a brief pause, Nathan delivered the top answer: “Cruella.”

The combination of his hesitant setup and the perfect answer sent Harvey into a fit of laughter.

Andrea was next, and after confirming she was married (a crucial detail for this question!), she offered “The wicked stepmother from Cinderella.” A good villain, but not on the board, earning the family their second strike. Doug then tried his luck with “Catwoman,” which also struck out, giving the Michael family their third and final strike.

This opened the door for the Fleming family to steal the game. Mave, who had buzzed in first earlier, redeemed himself by answering “The Wicked Witch.”

This was on the board, and with that, the Fleming family snagged the round! It’s worth noting that Mave’s answer was essentially what Sarah was going for, but he nailed the specific villain name.

Viewers online absolutely loved the segment, taking to YouTube to share their thoughts. “After the one lady fumbled and said ‘Wizard of Oz,’ I was surprised no one in her family did the wicked witch,” one fan commented. Another playfully warned, “If anyone’s MIL is anything like Cruella, just don’t have any dogs in your care.”

It just goes to show, sometimes the most awkward questions make for the best television!
