HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — The Horry County Council on Tuesday approved a proposal to shorten recycling center hours throughout the county starting after the new year.
In addition to shortening the hours of operation, it would also add Easter Sunday to the holiday schedule. Currently, of the 25 centers throughout Horry County, they close at 7 p.m. six days a week, with two operating from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, 18 operating from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, and five are closed on Sunday.
The now-approved proposal would shorten the hours of operation to close at 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, have two centers open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, and have two stay closed on Sunday…
