North Myrtle Beach fitness center to undergo major expansion, city says

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A major expansion is in the works for the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center.

City officials revealed details about the planned 31,000-square-foot expansion and renovation in a Facebook post on Wednesday. The post included the graphic below, which shows the layout of the completed project.

The new expanded center will have a 4,000-square-foot fitness room addition with a dedicated stretch area and an additional aerobics room. The men’s and women’s locker rooms will also be upgraded and expanded.

It will have new boys’ and girls’ locker rooms and a new gymnasium, along with dedicated spaces for youth programs and outdoor fitness. Additional parking is planned as well…
