APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – The second pair of four adults charged in a chronic child neglect case out of Oneida in Outagamie County appeared in separate court hearings on Thursday.

Melissa Goodman and Savanna Lefever, both facing five chronic child neglect charges for allegedly leaving a 14-year-old at just 35 pounds, had their hearings separately.
Goodman, the child’s stepmother, appeared in court by video from the Outagamie County Jail, requesting an attorney as the present bond continued. Her next hearing is set for December 11 at 9 a.m.
Court records show Goodman had an attorney appointed on Friday by the name of Brittany Louise Van Rite.

Lefever’s hearing also occurred via video, court records show. She had an attorney appointed on Thursday from the public defender’s office by the name of Timothy Edward Hogan. Her next hearing is Tuesday, November 25, at 12:45 p.m…
