Arkansas State Police Asking for Public’s Help After Deadly Hit-and-Run

Arkansas State Police are asking for the public’s help as they try to identify the vehicle and driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Pope County on Saturday evening, November 15.

Vehicle Believed to Be a Chevrolet HHR Involved in Fatal Arkansas Hit & Run

Investigators believe the vehicle involved was a Chevrolet HHR, but the color and model year remain unknown. You can see a similar car below.

They said that it, more than likely, has damage to the driver’s side. The accident took place between 6:30 PM and 6:45 PM on State Highway 326 in the Happy Valley community, just north of Russellville near the Gum Log area.

Since the suspect and vehicle could be anywhere by now, the Arkansas State Police have put out a statewide request for Arkansans’ help.

Victim Identified as Russellville, Arkansas Man

The victim has been identified as 82-year-old George Sanborn of Russellville. He was airlifted to UAMS in Little Rock, but unfortunately, he passed away from his injuries early Sunday morning.
