Teen gets prison for girlfriend’s overdose death in Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A man has been sentenced to prison in connection with the overdose death of a 17-year-old Wichita girl.

Samuel Gonzalez Jr., 19, was sentenced Friday to nine years and eight months in prison, followed by three years of post-release supervision.

He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in October in connection with the death of Adianna Perales. He was initially charged with distribution of a controlled substance causing death.
