Calhan High School adds equipment training program

(CALHAN, Colo.) — Lots of students are unsure about plans after high school, but some teachers in El Paso County are making sure their kids know they have plenty of choices.

At Calhan High School, a new simulator provides students with hands-on training in operating heavy machinery. On Wednesday, Nov. 19, students got to put their training to the test by jumping into a construction rig used by the El Paso County Public Works.
