The Utah Department of Corrections (UDC) will change its mail system for incarcerated individuals starting January 5, 2026. The new system is intended to improve communication efficiency, safety, and reliability in Utah’s correctional facilities. All personal (non-legal) mail will be processed by UDC mail centers instead of a third-party service.
