PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was sentenced to more than a decade in prison after his involvement in a deadly DUII hit-and-run crash in Salem that left a trail of blood in the roadway, prosecutors say.
Sergio Reyes Aguilar, 36, was sentenced to 13.5 years in prison on Tuesday, the Marion County District Attorney’s Office said. He was found guilty of first-degree manslaughter, failure to perform duties of a driver, driving under the influence of intoxicants and unauthorized use of a vehicle for the incident that occurred on January 16.
One dead after Hollywood District shooting
On Jan. 16, around 11:30 p.m., Salem Police said they responded to reports of an injured man near the 2000 block of Lancaster Drive Northeast.
