In a shocking incident, Asheville Police have reported a fatal stabbing that occurred on Warren Avenue. The suspect, identified as Stroupe, was found at a nearby home where a woman had been stabbed to death. Stroupe has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, and first-degree burglary. This marks Stroupe’s tenth arrest. He had been released from jail just a week prior to the homicide after serving sentences for a breaking and entering conviction and assaulting a government official.
