FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — A man has been found guilty of murder in connection to a 2021 shooting that killed a 19-year-old.
22-year-old Jalan Carpenter was found guilty by a jury Thursday of one count of murder with a firearm enhancement.
The guilty verdict stems from a shooting that occurred in March of 2021, when 19-year-old John Peterson was killed in the area of the 4600 block of Willard Drive. He was found sitting in the driver’s seat of his car with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
