Authorities have identified Joie Carrell, 43, of Fresno as the victim in a recent homicide in Auberry. On Friday, November 14, 2025, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a gunshot victim in the Auberry area. A CHP officer found Carrell deceased along Old Auberry Road, just north of Auberry Road, at about 12:20 p.m.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Unit are investigating. Officials have not released details about Carrell’s injuries but say they are consistent with homicide.
