Mom speaks out after her son was bit by dog

She says her son was walking in her neighborhood, going between their home and his grandmother’s house, when a neighbor’s “vicious” dog came up from behind him.“My son all of a sudden heard something, turns around, and the dog is charging at him,” McLaughlin said. “[The dog] pushes him to the ground, attacks him, rips his jeans, punctures his leg.”

McLaughlin said she’s called Huntsville Animal Services more than half a dozen times since 2023 to report the dog’s behavior. She said the dog is frequently aggressive with her family, joggers, and other people who walk down the street. “I had them tell me that if you just keep reporting it, something will be done,” McLaughlin said. “So I reported it every single time I saw something happening.”
