SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — The investigation around a Southaven youth minister charged with failing to report a sex crime involving a minor goes beyond DeSoto County, the district attorney says.
Jonathan Colvin with Goodman Oaks Church of Christ was booked into the DeSoto County jail Tuesday and bonded out the same day. The arrest and charge against Colvin has shocked many in this community.
“This investigation does involve multiple jurisdictions across different counties — Panola County, DeSoto County and potentially another state,” DeSoto County D.A. Matthew Barton said.
