University of South Alabama Recognized Nationally for Supporting Military Families

The University of South Alabama is ranked 86th out of 357 institutions in the 2025 Military Times Best for Vets College rankings. This is the first time the university has appeared in the publication’s rankings. The university is one of two in Alabama to be listed in the top 100.

In 2024, the University of South Alabama established the Office of Military Services to support members of the U.S. Armed Forces, veterans, and their families in pursuing higher education.

Dr. Andi Kent, executive vice president and provost, noted the university’s recognition and its efforts to serve the military community.
