BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge firefighter was injured Wednesday afternoon while battling a commercial building fire on S. Choctaw Drive.
According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, crews were called to the 13000 block of S. Choctaw Drive just after 3 p.m. and arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of one of the property’s storage buildings.
Firefighters said the blaze had already begun spreading through the structure, but crews were able to contain it to about one-third of the building and prevent it from reaching neighboring units…
