Arlington Launches Seasonal Curbside Leaf Pickup Service with Eco-Friendly Disposal Options

As autumn leaves begin to blanket the streets of Arlington, the city’s curbside collection service is gearing up to help residents keep their neighborhoods tidy. Starting Nov. 24, Arlingtonians can leave up to twelve 30-gallon bags of leaves at the curb each week for pickup. This seasonal service, aimed at reducing lawn waste and maintaining city cleanliness, will run through the first week of January, as reported on the City of Arlington’s official website.

It’s important to note that all collected bagged leaves will head directly to the landfill and not to the recycling stream. Those looking for a more eco-friendly solution for their leaf disposal can visit the Arlington Landfill. Here, residents and contractors may drop off unbagged leaves, which can be recycled at no cost.
