Two arrested in Abbeville in connection to shots fired at car with kids

ABBEVILLE, La. (KLFY) — Two individuals were arrested on several charged in Abbeville after one allegedly shot at a vehicle that had two children inside.

Clauderious Darby, 36, was charged with:

  • Four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm
  • Possession of Schedule II drugs
  • Illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities
  • Firearm free zone
  • Obstruction of justice
  • Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana
  • Violations of controlled dangerous substances
  • Illegal carry of weapons, crime or controlled dangerous substances

Donshai DePass, 38, was charged with:

  • Four counts of accessory to aggravated assault with a firearm
  • Possession of firearm w/ CDS
  • Possession of Schedule II drug with intent to distribute
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of CDS within a school zone
  • Possession of a firearm (Firearm free zone)

According to authorities, Wednesday morning, the Abbeville Police Department received a call of shots fired at the 1400 block of South State Street. The caller claimed someone shot at her vehicle, where she was accompanied by another adult and two small children.

Officials said camera footage from the area showed Darby pointing a firearm at the victim’s vehicle and discharging a round into the ground. Darby was also observed throwing a black container into a nearby ditch…
