SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — There’s always an increased need of food items during the holiday season. You’ve been seeing more of these “take what you need, leave what you can” food pantries popping up around the Ozarks, and recently, they’ve been needing more food to be stocked.
“It’s hard to keep it restocked. Sometimes you’ll restock it and an hour later it’s already gone,” says Bridgette Allen
The Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation has been busy keeping their pantries filled. The idea first started during the Pandemic in 2021, now in it’s fourth year, they’ve expanded to multiple counties across the Ozarks.
