A structure fire was reported at Reptile Gardens in Rapid City around 1:30 a.m. Friday. The fire was primarily on the South side of the building, which houses some of the reptiles. Reptile Gardens will be closed Friday.

Joe Foss Alternative High School in Sioux Falls will host its annual Vision & Voice Show Friday, featuring artworks and poetry readings by Joe Foss students. The public is invited to attend the Vision & Voice show from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Axtell Park School in Sioux Falls.

Events have been going on all week to raise awareness about hunger and homelessness in Sioux Falls. Thursday, the Union Gospel Mission hosted a cocoa and coats giveaway. The coats given away today were distributed to the Union Gospel Mission from the St. Francis House and the Keep KELOLAND Warm coat drive — which is still going on.
