Community mourns Albuquerque pilot killed in Kentucky plane crash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Albuquerque mourned the loss of Lee Truitt, a beloved pilot who died in a UPS plane crash in Louisville, Kentucky.

On Saturday morning, many gathered at Cutter Aviation to pay their respects. Truitt, an Albuquerque native, was remembered as a family man who had a significant impact in the aviation industry, working for Bode Aviation, SkyWest Airlines, and UPS.

“We would have been together for 22 years on Nov. 7 and married for 17 years in this upcoming January. To try and summarize our love is an impossible task, and it remains unbelievably surreal that I am in the position to even need to try,” said Tiffany Truitt, Lee’s wife. “I thought we would have the rest of our lives to complete our love story, and I am not sure how to begin a new chapter without my main character by my side.”…
