The University of Nevada, Reno’s School of the Arts has named Alisha Fertal as the winner of its Fall 2025 Sticker Contest. Fertal is a drawing emphasis major and art history minor. Her design, called ‘Doodle Dog,’ will appear on stickers distributed on campus and in School of the Arts promotions.
‘Doodle Dog’ was chosen from many submissions. Judges noted the design’s bright colors and energetic style. Fertal said the artwork represents positive energy for herself and the character. She imagined Doodle Dog in a pastel world, inspired by childhood cartoons.
Some viewers have compared Doodle Dog’s body to a pinecone or pangolin. Fertal did not plan this but has accepted the comparison. She said repeated patterns often appear in her work, and the pangolin similarity adds meaning…
