Over 2,000 protestors of all ages gathered at Manolo’s Bakery to “Shutdown Charlotte” by protesting the presence of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Charlotte on Friday, Nov. 21.
Protestors ranged from as young as 15 to well into their mid-20s, including Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools students, businesses and UNC Charlotte students.
What started with hundreds grew to thousands as signs filled the sidewalks, chants grew loud, and whistles and honks rang in the ears of many.
Some signs read, “Stop abducting my neighbors”, “ICE out of CLT” and “Chinga La Migra.”…
