CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A Davidson County man pleaded guilty to making threats to murder federal immigration agents and local police in Charlotte.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office reported that on Thursday, 27-year-old Johnathan Trent Thomas, of Linwood, pleaded guilty in federal court to the charges.
According to filed court documents and court proceedings, on May 14, a caller, later identified as Thomas, contacted the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and threatened to kill Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and CMPD officers if immigration enforcement actions did not stop.
