Weather Alert for predawn Saturday, then drier & nice the rest of the weekend

WEATHER ALERT FOR A FEW HOURS OVERNIGHT & EARLY SATURDAY

A marginal, level 1 out of 5 risk for severe weather exists for areas locally west of I-75. Some storms could develop overnight tonight and become strong to severe. Timing: ~3am to 8am ET West to East. Threats: Damaging winds, isolated flooding from heavy downpours, and a quick spin up cannot be ruled out at this time, but that tornado threat is very low. Severity and timing can still fluctuate as this system develops, so keep checking back for updates and have multiple ways to receive alerts from the NWS, and that you’ll be able to wake up to them.

DRIER & WARMER THAN AVERAGE THROUGH THE REST OF THE WEEKEND
