CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Despite the restoration of SNAP benefits this month, many local families continue to struggle to put food on the table. One organization is stepping up to ensure hundreds of families are fed this Thanksgiving.
Melody McGeorge, who is hosting her two children and 10 grandchildren on Thursday, expressed gratitude for the assistance.
“I have a big family. We’re on disability, so it’s hard for us to provide for my family. It really comes in handy,” said McGeorge. “We’d still have a Thanksgiving, but it wouldn’t be as much and as joyful and as plentiful.”
