Updated rainfall totals are coming in as a storm system continues its slow track across Southern California. Palm Springs recorded two-tenths of an inch of rain, while Thousand Palms reported fifteen-hundredths. Palm Springs Airport added eight-hundredths of an inch earlier today, and Indio has seen nearly four-tenths so far, with additional rain measured within the past half hour. Whitewater has picked up thirty-two-hundredths of an inch.Satellite loops show the low-pressure center sliding down the coastline, now just offshore from San Diego County and moving east. The Coachella Valley is getting a temporary break on radar, but heavy rain is falling over eastern Riverside County, especially east of Desert Center.
