The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) announced that the State Transportation Board approved the second round of National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program awards on Thursday.
GDOT says the action advances efforts to build a reliable fast-charging network to support the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) across the state.
More than $24.4-million is being awarded to fund 26 locations through public-private partnerships.
“Our robust infrastructure network has set Georgia apart in attracting business, promoting travel, and providing reliable transportation for all Georgians,” Georgia Governor Brian Kemp said. “This investment will help further secure our status as a national leader in innovation and infrastructure for years to come.
