Car crashes, spins, and rolls over to avoid a deer in rural DeKalb County

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — An early morning crash in rural DeKalb County resulted in the car hitting multiple objects, spinning out, and rolling over to avoid a deer in the road.

At around 5:15 a.m., a driver was traveling south in the 3900 block of CR 7 when a deer entered the roadway. He swerved to miss it, but lost control of his car, entering the ditch on the right side of the road. The car spun out and began rolling as it hit a tree, a culvert, and then a large rock.

Corunna Fire and Parkview EMS arrived on the scene and took the driver to a nearby hospital with complaints of head, chest, and hip pain…
