Grand Rapids accepts $300K state grant for mountain bike park renovation

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Grand Rapids has received a $300,000 state grant that will help fund improvements to its mountain bike park.

The grant from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources was accepted by the Grand Rapids City Commission Tuesday, Nov. 18.

The project will include new mountain bike trail components and site amenities, a new shelter/patio space, and paving the park’s parking lot. The project is estimated to cost $605,000, with the city’s parks capital fund will cover the remaining $305,000 after the state grant…
