The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced upcoming traffic changes in Santa Rosa County. These changes are due to construction and maintenance on several state roads. The advisories are timed around the Thanksgiving holiday to help reduce travel delays.
From Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 12 a.m. to Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., there will be no lane closures or work that blocks traffic on major state roads. This pause is to help holiday travelers. Outside these dates, drivers should expect lane and median closures on U.S. 98, U.S. 90, S.R. 87, and S.R. 89 for ongoing work.
