LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — Kentucky State Police Post 4 intensified its traffic enforcement presence in Jefferson County this week, conducting a large-scale one-day operation that resulted in 177 charges, multiple arrests, and several citations aimed at improving roadway safety.
Troopers Flooded Louisville Highways in Targeted Safety Operation
On November 19, Post 4 troopers carried out a coordinated traffic enforcement blitz along major Louisville interstates — I-264, I-265, and I-65 — focusing on speeding, dangerous driving, and compliance with state safety laws.
During the single-day effort, troopers conducted:
- 63 traffic stops
- 27 speeding citations
- 7 seat belt violations
- 6 move-over violations
- 14 courtesy notices
In total, they issued 177 charges, including several drug-related offenses.
Four People Arrested, Including One Linked to a Stolen Firearm
Troopers also arrested four individuals who had outstanding warrants.
