Kentucky State Police Traffic Blitz Leads to 177 Charges and Multiple Arrests Across Louisville Highways

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — Kentucky State Police Post 4 intensified its traffic enforcement presence in Jefferson County this week, conducting a large-scale one-day operation that resulted in 177 charges, multiple arrests, and several citations aimed at improving roadway safety.

Troopers Flooded Louisville Highways in Targeted Safety Operation

On November 19, Post 4 troopers carried out a coordinated traffic enforcement blitz along major Louisville interstates — I-264, I-265, and I-65 — focusing on speeding, dangerous driving, and compliance with state safety laws.

During the single-day effort, troopers conducted:

  • 63 traffic stops
  • 27 speeding citations
  • 7 seat belt violations
  • 6 move-over violations
  • 14 courtesy notices

In total, they issued 177 charges, including several drug-related offenses.

Four People Arrested, Including One Linked to a Stolen Firearm

Troopers also arrested four individuals who had outstanding warrants.

One person was charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun and receiving a stolen firearm — the same gun reported stolen from the Louisville Metro area…
