Baton Rouge police investigate reported shooting on Burgin Avenue

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating after officers responded to reports of gunfire late Thursday night.

BRPD said officers arrived at the 400 block of Burgin Avenue near Highland Road around 11:48 p.m. on Nov. 20, after witnesses heard gunshots. They also saw several people outside with guns.

A BRPD spokesperson said they are waiting for updates from the detectives on the case.
