CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A Cedar Rapids church distributed 200 free turkeys to community members Saturday afternoon as part of its third annual Thanksgiving giveaway.
Lifeline Ministries on Oakland Road Northeast drew a long line of people before the giveaway began at noon. Volunteers distributed about 100 turkeys within the first 10 minutes, with a steady stream of recipients continuing throughout the afternoon.
